Different Variants of Phone Numbering Plans
Especially to wisely allocate international phone numbers between various countries and cities of the whole world and between cell phone operators the pone numbering plan is used. It’s anyway wrong to confuse dial plans with numbering plans. And the closed numbering plan, it is used in regions like North America and Canada supposing that there telephone numbers are dialed together with fixed length region codes.
A number of countries of the world haven’t by now assigned the length of area dialing codes and local numbers so in these places the open numbering plan is spread. All numbers determined by the open plan are dialed variously. You have to be aware which digits should be anyway dialed (these digits form the subscriber’s telephone number) and which may be missed (area calling codes).
